Alicia went through the FilmStruck hiring process in the year of 2015. Malone made recordings of Robert Osborne and Ben Mankiewicz's openings in order to practice reading them in front the camera before an TCM Channel Host audition. After appearing in an interview to be considered for a Turner Classic Movies host position in 2017, TCM gave her the job in the January following the audition.
